About me

We prioritise food and exercise to support our physical performance and health but rarely do we pay attention to how we breathe

Stomach and digestive issues have plagued me for most of my adult life.  I tried everything to improve my condition and was in the midst of undergoing hospital treatment to diagnose what was potentially thought to be Crohn’s disease.

I am not one for taking drugs or conventional medicines, so I stopped all hospital investigations and instead went down a different route to see how I could better my condition through natural means. I also stopped ALL sports and exercise and invested my time and attention to my internal health through different modalities such as meditation, breathwork, and even trauma healing. Never did I expect that the relatively small changes would become life changing, and have such a profound impact to my pysical health, fitness level and mental wellbeing.

I have always been aware of the importance of being physically fit and healthy.  My journey over the past few years has helped me understand how important it is to have a healthy breathing pattern and calm nervous system during sport and throughout the day. I have involved myself in numerous sports since childhood from running, cycling, and martial arts, to latterly when I took up boxing, golf and water sports such as wakeboarding and surfing. Sadly no matter how fit I was, there were times when my output and performance were affected.

Breathwork had the greatest overall impact helping to reduce my stomach pain, improve my energy levels substantially and increasing my focus and clarity in every day life! Whilst my exercise temporarily took a back seat, I realised how much this practice had massively impacted my fitness.  This was not something I had predicted, or the impact on increasing my lung capacity and overall strength.

So began my journey to study breathwork on a deeper level.  The results I see when coaching others has blown me away, as I regularly witness people’s health and lives change, just as mine did.

I went on to study the full science behind breathwork from a biochemical, biomechanical, psychophysiology perspective, to simulate altitude training for sport.  I’ve since been teaching beathwork within sport, exercise, general health and trauma, guiding people to better their physical and mental performance.
